Opening of China-Italy Marco Polo Research & Exchange Center

On January 15, 2025, in Shanghai, Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), Cristina Corsini, Board member of CICC and Wei Chen, CICC Public Affairs Manager, attended the Inauguration of the China-Italy Marco Polo Research and Exchange Center launched by Ms. Tiziana D’Angelo, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai and Mr. Pan Guoqiang, Mayor of Yangzhou, on the occasion of the Yangzhou New Year Reception.

Mayor of Yangzhou Mr. Pan Guoqiang attended and launched the "Invitation from Yangzhou" event featuring 100 Chambers of Commerce and diplomats visiting Yangzhou and delivered a speech. In the new year, Yangzhou will accelerate the construction of an industrial and technological innovation city, a cultural and tourism city, and an ecologically livable city in accordance with the requirements of the "sprint to win the year" deployment.

Lorenzo Riccardi said that the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce helps Italian companies in China in doing business in the market and continues to promote Italy-China economic relations, supporting commercial and industrial projects.

Consulates General of Italy, France, Germany, Japan, the United States and other countries in Shanghai, as well as representatives from Shanghai Chamber of Commerce, international commercial banks, key foreign-funded enterprises, and universities, were invited to attend.
